Megacubo support

Three problems, three pages, and none of them starts with “reinstall”. Each one follows the same order: what you are seeing, the likely causes, what to do in each case and how to know it worked. Reinstalling is rarely among the fixes — almost always the cause is the playlist, the network or the device's memory.

Pick what is happening

The M3U playlist does not load

The address was accepted but no channel appears, or the playlist loads empty. It is usually the address, the provider's connection limit or the file's encoding

The channel stutters or keeps loading

The stream starts and stops, or never starts. Before blaming the playlist, there are three settings in the application that change the outcome on a modest device

The programme guide does not sync

The schedule is empty, shifted or only present on some channels. The EPG depends on an identifier that has to match the playlist's

Not installed yet?

If the problem comes earlier — installing on each system, adding the first playlist — the guides solve it in a few steps

The causes and fixes come from the project's documentation (Megacubo docs), checked on 2026-09-25. If the problem is installation rather than use, start with the guide for your system.

When the problem is the playlist, not the application

Worth saying out loud, because it saves time: Megacubo neither provides nor controls your playlist. Channels that leave the air, addresses that expire and limits on simultaneous connections come from the provider — and they account for most reports of “it stopped working”. The application does its part: it tests the address when you add it, tells you when the playlist does not respond and lets you reload it from its own menu.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I start when something does not work?

From the symptom: a playlist that does not load, a stream that stutters or a guide that does not sync. Each page below carries the likely causes in order of frequency, the fix for each one and the test that confirms it worked — instead of a list of loose attempts.

Does reinstalling fix it?

Rarely, and that is why it is not the first answer here. Most problems come from the playlist, the network or the device's memory — none of which changes with a reinstall. Reinstalling makes sense when the installation itself is corrupted, and in that case each system has its own guide.

Where do I ask for help when nothing works?

The project answers at [email protected] and keeps a public issue tracker on GitHub, where broken playlists can also be reported. On desktop versions the application ships a diagnostic script in its installation folder, which produces the report to send to support.
